The Pink Cockatoo (Lophochroa leadbeateri) are an inland species found across arid and semi-arid regions of Australia.
They are seen in a wide range of inland habitats, that may or may not have trees, but always within easy reach of water.
The cockatoos are seen feeding on the ground, that include eating the seeds of saltbush, native and exotic melons. They also eat the seeds of wattles and cypress pines.
Their range covers the south-western Queensland, through New South Wales, down south to the north-west Victoria and through South Australia. Their range extends north into the south-west region of the Northern Territory and across to the west coast of Western Australia, between Shark Bay and Jurien.
