Heteroptera > Heteroptera Index

Welcome to our thumbnail links to information on the suborder Heteroptera, representing a group of insects known as “True Bugs”. With about 40,000 and more, recognised species of true bugs worldwide, and with many more yet to be discovered and identified, the Australian Heteropteran fauna (from June 2012) described a total of 55 families, 779 genera and 2006 species1.
