AmorbusAmorbus — Nymph to Adult Stages Amorbus alternatus Amorbus robustus
The species Amorbus alternatus, also known as the Eucalyptus Tip-wilting Bug have tube mouth parts (like all Amorbus spp) that they use to suck the sap out of the Eucalypt leaves.
As they grow, the nymph (the juvenile) stage of the Amorbus sp. undergo stages of moulting the skin, a process referred to as an “instar”. These instars can involve some dramatic colour changes, which for the novice, appear to be different species.
