Belonging to the Australian Fulgoromorph Planthoppers group, Platybrachys is the most widespread genus of Australian Eurybrachidae (family Eurybrachidae), Eurybrachid Planthoppers. The Platybrachys species are usually found on the main trunk of trees of the myrtaceous genus Eucalyptus.
