Victorian Bush Walk by Marie Nash (80 yrs), Wodonga VIC
Merino fleece (dyed). Wet felting, needle felting.
I love to walk in an Australian Eucalypt forest.
Unfortunately the 2019 forest fires destroyed established eucalypts and decimated bird and animal life.
In making this beanie I have endeavoured to depict the eucalypts and my favourite birds, possums, and the iconic Bogong Moth, whose numbers have been reduced by the fires and subsequent loss of habitat.
