The Small Yellow Button (Chrysocephalum apiculatum), also known as Common Everlasting, Yellow Buttons and Desert Flame, is a perennial herb native to southern and central Australia. There are a number of subspecies.

A member of the daisy family Asteraceae, the flower heads are yellow in colour, spherical in shape and around 1 cm in diameter each, with the flower heads often borne in clusters. it grows to 40 cm in height, spreading horizontal stems that grow upwards as the get longer. It has elongated silvery grey leaves that grow clasp to the stems and are covered in fine, silky hairs.
