From the family Proteaceae, genus Leucospermum, the Carnival Orange (Leucospermum cuneiforme) is also commonly known as the Wart-stemmed Pincushion.
It is a dense, bushy, evergreen shrub, with a profusion of flowers that are initially yellow and then turn orange. The flowering protea belongs to a group commonly know as Pincushions.
