Known as the Small Cypress Pine Jewel Beetle (Diadoxus erythrurus), belonging to the Jewel Beetles family Buprestidae.

They have been grouped with wood borers that damage wood, in particular the genus Cupressus, the evergreen conifers with the common name cypress.
