The Long-nose Dragon (Gowidon longirostris), also commonly called Long-nosed Dragon, is a species of lizard that is quite common to see around the MacDonnell Ranges and even in the gardens of Alice Springs.

These photographs were taken around Ormiston Gorge and Pound.

These lively reptiles can often be seen basking in the sun, but are quick when disturbed and can often be seen running away on their hind legs. They have a long tail.

See our Fauna Index for other information and images on the Long-nose Dragon.
