Ellery Creek Big Hole FloraCaltrop Orange Spade Flower Tar Vine White Cypress Pine
Ellery Creek Big Hole is an important source of water for the local flora and fauna. Supporting aquatic plants and other flora in the area, which in turn supports a number of insects, birds and other wildlife, this waterhole plays an important part of the ecological environment to be found along the West MacDonnell Ranges.
Some of the flora to be found in the area include:
- Caltrop (Tribulus eichlerianus)
- Orange Spade Flower (Hybanthus aurantiacus)
- Tar Vine (Boerhavia coccinea)
- White Cypress Pine (Callitris columellaris)
