Native beetle species and a few introduced beetles can be found in Central Australia. They are usually found on and near their food source, including trees such as eucalypts, Hakea, Dodonaea (ie Sticky Hopbush) and Gossypium (ie Sturt’s Desert Rose). There are also aquatic species that are found in gorges and waterholes.
