The Great Cormorant (Phalacrocorax carbo) is a large cormorant that is found worldwide. They are found in a range of water habitats, from rivers, lakes, reservoirs and coast marine environments.

The photographs here were of the Great Cormorant in the arid region of Central Australia, in a locale known as the Redbank Waterhole in the Owen Spring Reserve, Northern Territory.
