Among the many amazing exhibited works at the Sydney Royal Botanic Garden is the Echidna Living Sculpture, ‘Edina’ by Horticultural Sculptor Bryn Hutchinson.
The “spines” of the echidna are said to be genus Bulbine, species Bulbine bulbosa, a native bulb species with spikes of yellow fragrant flowers.
