When you are out and about, exploring the bushland, parks and reserves, keep you eyes out for a range of spider species, such a the Red-tipped Crab Spider (Sidymella rubrosignata). This is a species of crab spiders found in Australia and are quite small, and often may blend in with their background.
A common spider, that are often seen on Dianella plants, the photos here were taken of the spider on the Flannel Flower (Actinotus helianthi). In this instance, if it wasn’t that we were taking photos of the Flannel Flower, we may have missed in.
The spider was calmly sitting quietly, not moving, waiting for passing prey (other insects).
