The Blue Hakea (Hakea lehmanniana), is endemic to an area in the southern Wheatbelt and Great Southern regions of Western Australia, including the Stirling Range National Park. The are seen in flower from June to August, producing purple-blue blooms that fade to blue or white flowers. The flowers are in dense clusters in the upper leaf axils.
There can be slight variations in the depth of the Blue further inland. They are a paler Blue inland. They also fade a bit as the flowers age. Some plants I see are are very bright blue and others a powder blue.
