A popular bush camping area along the Finke River, Two Mile is also known as Two Mile Beach. The name Finke Two Mile refers to the distance from Glen Helen (the nearby gorge). It is a spectacular area, especially after significant rain in the region.


Part of the West MacDonnell Ranges region in the Northern Territory Tjoritja / West MacDonnell National Park, this area offers spectacular views of Mount Sonder at dawn. It is also a great spot watch for wildlife including birds and other animals. When there is water in the river catchment areas, fish that can be sighted in the Finke River include Hyrtl’s Catfish (Neosilurus hyrtlii), and some rare fish species such as the Finke River Hardyhead.
