Wallaga Lake Insects > Wallaga Moths
Moths are a group of insects belonging to the order Lepidoptera (class Insecta), forming a group of some 125 families worldwide, with 82 families of moths represented in Australia. Wallaga Lakes and the wider South Coast region is home to thousands of species of moths (with many yet to be identified).
As well as the winged adult moith species, make sure you keep an eye out for the various instar stages including caterpillar and pupa/chrysalis. Check out some of the moths found in Wallaga Lake.
