Mituliodon tarantulinus, as of September 2024, is currently the only species in the genus Mituliodon (family Miturgidae), first described in 2003 by Raven & Stumkat.

They are noted to have either yellow or red markings on the leg joints, whilst there have been observed some Mituliodon tarantulinus with both red and yellow markings on the leg joints.
