Perched high on Bents Lookout from the Gorge Day Visitor Area in the Mount Buffalo National Park there are several great vantage points to take in the valleys and peaks of the surrounding landscape.

With granite cliffs rising up into the sky, this sub-alpine plateau is one of Victoria’s oldest national park and is only a four hour drive from Melbourne, overlooking the Ovens Valley.

There are a number of walks that start and end at Gorge Day Visitor Area, including The Gorge Heritage Walk that starts at Bents Lookout at the top of the car park. The walk takes you around to the North Wall of the Gorge where there are lookouts that provide views of Crystal Brook Falls and the North Wall itself. On occasion you may see climbers making their way up the cliff-face or abseiling down.
