A town for all season, Bright tree-lined streets provide summer shade and brilliant autumn colours. The perfect place for a short or long stay, with plenty of activities and close to the Victorian Alpine region.
There is much to see and do in Bright and the surrounding region, whether you want to just doing some casual easy walks along the Ovens River, check out some of the annual festivals, explore the High Country, bike riding along the Rail Trail, gold panning in the Ovens, or visiting the nearby historical towns of Wandiligong, Beechworth, Yackandandah and Eldorado, whilst enjoying the local wines, nuts, cheeses and olives from Milawa.
Many activities are centred around Mystic Hill (also referred to as Mystic Mountain) and for the more adventurous there is a number of cycling activities including annual mountain biking and cycle events, or take to the sky with microlighting, hang-gliding and paragliding.
There are a number of locations within the region that provide the focus for events including Mystic Launch Pad, Pioneer Park Recreation Reserve (a 45 acre recreation area), Huggins Lookout and Walk (a track that winds its way steeply up the side of the valley and provide beautiful views over Bright), and the Alpine Ski Fields.
There are a number of flight services in the region offering a range of training and other activities such as tandem paragliding, hang gliding, solo flights etc.
