A small to medium almost rounded shaped shrub with pinnate leaflets. The flowers are bright yellow and have a chocolate scent. The seed pods go from green to a flat dark brown pod. Pleurocarpa means with ribbed pods. Both pods and leaves have a purgative effect if eaten.
Senna pleurocarpa has been documented across Western Australia, South Australia, Northern Territory and Queensland.
