The green and yellow Budgerigar (Melopsittacus undulatus) is one of the iconic small birds found across inland Australia. Commonly known as the budgie, they are often seen in small groups and under the right climatic conditions, it is an amazing sight and sound to see them in flocks of hundreds to thousands.
At certain times of the year, Budgerigars were often seen with the Zebra Finches (Taeniopygia guttata), especially when there was water available.
