Early 2010 presented a new experience for many, with the wettest start to a year since 1974, with Alice Springs picking up more than its annual rainfall in the first two months of the year. The sheer joy and excitement presented at experiencing rainfall and the Todd River in flow… indeed it was excitement plus for this river run…

A dogs day… river run
There are many locations along the length of the Todd River popular for families and their pet dogs, especially when the river is in flow. Care should be taken where you take your dogs, as some locations may have a particularly strong current, as well as debris hidden under the water, swept down from further up river.
