Lightning Ridge is home to Beven’s Cactus Nursery, one of the largest cactus nurseries in the southern hemisphere, with a huge collection of young and aged varieties of cactuses (cacti), some over 150 years old.

Grown from seeds collected from around the world, many of the cacti have also been propagated from”pups” or “suckers”. Some cacti are over 100 years old.

Beven’s Cactus Nursery is a ‘must see and do’ when visiting Lightning Ridge. They also have black and a range of other opals for purchase.
