Smallest bee I’ve ever seen… Dead set maybe a smidge over 2mm (and I’m a carpenter by trade, I know how small a millimetre is). Couldn’t even tell by eye it was a bee, it was a little black speck… honestly expected it was just a tiny fly 😄 but a little niggling voice in the back of my head said “I’m not so sure, I actually think it might be the smallest bee we’ve ever seen…:”. Of course I replied “Yeah? And just who are you, and what makes you so sure?…” 😅 He said “Dude, chill out… I’m the bloke that collects subconscious data from every image you’ve ever seen, I’m the reason you turned turned around and came back to this particular patch of bush and I reckon it’s a bee, a tiny little bee, just take some pics…” 🙂 Cool, no messing about, straight to the point, I like him, sounds like my kinda guy 😂 so I did…

Ok, so gotta say mixed emotions here, stoked with the first bee hunt with the new TG 6 and straight up another new species for the albums (low set antennae, body shape, colour pattern and tiny size… has to be Euhesma surely…), but the TG 6 has got to be one of the only cameras ever made that actually came out with a lower resolution than the earlier model… Stock pic with the TG 4 is 7.8 mb, same pic with the TG 6 is only 2.4 mb… A pic with the TG 4 can be cropped to less than a third of it’s original size and still have the same resolution as the full size TG 6 pic…
