The Wanderrie Grass of the genus Eriachne is a group of grasses that are mainly found in Australia, although some species are found north of Australia including New Guinea, parts of Asia and Micronesia.
At the time of writing, there are 48 species of Eriachne recognised.
The following photographs from grass growing in Rainbow Valley, are thought to be Eriachne mucronata.
