My wife was clearing dead and live Amegilla bees from the upstairs window and asked if they stung like honey bees. The live teddy bear bee promptly answered her question with a resounding “OUCH!” (yes!). Having a look at their butt I think she’s lucky the Blue Banded bee was not alive!


PS have a close look at the BBB stinger, it seems to be a double shaft(s) which I assume the venom runs down when stinging!
