The Peron’s Tree Frog (Litoria peronii) is a common tree frog in Australia’s that are also known as the Emerald-spotted Tree Frog.

The Litoria peronii is one of Australia’s most variably coloured frogs. They have the ability to change colour in less than one hour. They vary in shades of grey and brown, where at its lightest, is almost white.

The Litoria peronii has mottled yellow and black thighs, armpits, and groin. Some also can be found with emerald spots on the back, which increase in number with age.

One of the characteristic that is uncommon in the genus Litoria are the pupils which appear cross-shaped. This particular characteristic is only shared with the Tyler’s Tree Frog within the genus Litoria.
