The Cyclorana longipes breed after the early rains of the wet season, laying their eggs in shallow temporary pools. The females will lay up to 2,000 eggs. The tadpoles resemble giant frog tadpoles early in development, with metamorphosis occurring in approximately 30 days.

They are found across a diverse range of environments and soil types.
