I was so moved this morning, with tears forming...

I was looking intently at a Dragonfly and didn’t see this beautiful Shingleback, Tiliqua rugosa only a few feet from where I stood. It’s yellow markings with the yellow of the Hibbertia exutiacies left me speechless. Such beauty. Such perfection.

It had been eating the flowers as there were a lot of chewed petals strewn around on the ground. I wondered if the yellow markings gave it camouflage at a time of year when lizards are still a bit sluggish and there are lots of yellow-flowering plants around.
