Scarlet Percher (Diplacodes haematodes)

Colours of the dragonflies

Author Koh Lin

From scarlet red to blue and the gold in between…

Many people believe that dragonflies bring good luck and fortune, and a spiritual awakening if they land on you. In Japan, they are known as the “victory insect”, or “kachimushi”, for its hunting prowess, and being known to never retreat. The dragonflies can be seen hovering and flitting across water sources, being agile and fast fliers, and never fly backwards.

Looking for hope, good luck, transformation, and being ready for positive change… seeing a dragonfly may be that sign… so being able to capture their beauty and sharing it with others will spread the joy, good luck and fortune…
