Among the many butterflies that catch my attention, is the Caper White Butterfly, Belenois java (found in Australia, Indonesia, and Melanesia) and the sub-species Belenois java teutonia (found in Australia).
Often seen solo or in groups, they can be sighted in the gardens and parks in Alice Springs, fluttering on the flowers and bushes. If you move very slowly around them, you can get some photos on your mobile phone.
