A member of the family Myrtaceae, the Verticordia is a genus of more than 100 species of plants commonly known as featherflowers. The species Verticordia monadelpha depicted here, are endemic to the south-west of Western Australia. They are a multi-branched shrub that flowers in spring and early summer in a profusion of pink to magenta flowers. Enjoyed by a variety of insects including the native bee Ctenocolletes albomarginatus.

The plant is also known as Woolly Featherflower, Pink Woolly Featherflower, White Woolly Featherflower, Pink Cauliflower and Pink Morrison.
