Exoneura angophorae, in the genus Exoneura, belonging to a group of bees commonly known as Reed Bees, this species with the common name of Angophora Reed Bee.

Exoneura angophorae (currently have a handful of observations on iNaturalistAU, from South Australia and Tasmania. The Exoneura angophorae pictured here are from Geraldton, Midwest, Western Australia.

The genus Exoneura are up to 8 mm long and nest inside the pithy stems of plants such as tree ferns and grass trees, with two or more bees known to share a nest. They are also known to nest in exotic plants such as the canes of Lantana (a known weed species in Australia).
