EuryglossinaEuryglossina fuscescens Euryglossina sulcata
Euryglossina (Euryglossina) sulcata, belonging to the family Colletidae (known as Colletid Bees and Plasterer Bees), are one of a number of Euryglossina species that are native to Australia and New Zealand.
I love that this is a bee, and was so stoked as soon as I saw it in the Myrtaceae. Certainly one of the most un-bee looking bees I’ve ever found. Doesn’t appear to be any other photographs of it in the wild that I can find anywhere. Euryglossina sulcata. ~3.5 mm. Thanks to Ken Walker and Michael Batley for help with ID.
