Amegilla (Zonamegilla) adelaidae are currently document only in the top half of Australia (as far south as Brisbane). The Amegilla adelaidae are one of the commonly named “blue-banded bees” and is approximately 10 mm in size, being smaller and paler to the Amegilla cingulate. You can see from the following photographs that in this instance, the band is not blue.
