The Blue-winged Kookaburra (Dacelo leachii) are usually seen perched up high to get a better view of the surrounding. Native to the northern and north-eastern Australia region, they are seen across the Gulf Country of Queensland, Top End of Northern Australia and west across the top end of Western Australia. They are also found in the Torres Strait and southern New Guinea.
