Red Centre Way DriveRed Centre Way Distance Mereenie Loop
The Mereenie Loop is the (currently) unsealed section of the Red Centre Way Drive, located between Kings Canyon Resort and the Larapinta Drive / Namatjira Drive intersection. You currently need a Mereenie Loop Permit obtained from the Alice Springs Visitor Information Centre. Contact them to enquire about other locations where you can purchase the permit.
Whilst the Mereenie Loop Tourist Drive is sometimes graded, it can be very corrugated, especially after recent rainfall. The visitor centre can advise on road conditions.
