Reflection...

Reflection…

Author Koh Lin ◦

In the metaphorical sense, reflection is similar to contemplation… both allude to and allow for deep and introspective insight… and when you look at something that facilitates it… such as a reflected surface or some prose… who knows what emotion and thoughts will be stirred…

Reflection is more than just an image in a mirror; it serves for deep and thoughtful examination of oneself, your actions, and or your realities. It is a tool for introspection, that can lead to understanding and change.

On the ascent to the top of Kings Canyon after recent rainfall, we came upon this reflection in the pool of water… and depending on where you stand around the pool, different parts of the world around you are reflected back.

The origin of the word “reflection” is from the late Middle English, that is derived from Old French reflexion or the late Latin reflexio(n-), from Latin reflex- ‘bent back’.
