Among the many moths that catch my attention, is the Figure Eight Moth, also known as the Owlet Moth (Ophiusa parcemacula). Sometimes rescued (out of the swimming pool) or found in the cool of the morning, resting on the pavement, I make the time to admire and take a few photos, before carefully moving the moth and placing it in a safe spot…







Relocated into the garden…

The common name “Figure Eight Moth” comes from the small dark figure ‘8’ marking near the middle edge of the wings.
