Spilomena is a genus of wasps (also known as aphid wasps) with 86 known species found worldwide in the family Crabronidae.
Aphid wasps (also known as aphid parasitoids), are small and considered beneficial wasps that lay their eggs inside the bodies of aphids. The wasp larvae develop within the host, consuming it from within and from which the adult wasp eventually emerges.
