The juvenile Whistling Kite (Haliastur sphenurus) is a striking looking bird, with the beautiful patterned plumage on both it’s upperparts, breast and face. Visitors to Alice Springs in Central Australia should keep an eye out for these beautiful raptors, especially the juveniles with their striking plumage.
