Kanku–Breakaways Conservation ParkDreaming Stories Flora and Fauna

This harsh desert environment is home to a number of native plant species in a variety of habitats, that include acacia-lined watercourses, mulga dominated scree slopes and open shrublands of cassia, saltbush and eremophila. When conditions are right, other plants suddenly seem to appear and if there is good rain fall, a great display of flowers and colour is to be had.

Living in this arid landscape is a wonderful collection of animals and birds. From Euros, red and grey kangaroos, dingoes, a variety of reptiles and birds.
