One of the identifiable features of the Megachile aurifrons beside its “golden brow”, are the “red eyes”. Known commonly as the Golden-browed Resin Bee, we would suggest they be called the “Red-eyed Golden-browed Resin Bee”, although that is a mouthful. It is of course, only the female that have the red eyes.

From our selection of photos, you might say we are smitten by the beauty of the “Red-eyed” Golden-browed Resin Bee (Megachile aurifrons).
