In the following image is the Hylaeus (Gnathoprosopis) euxanthus bubbling on the Calistemon, the content of the bubble being stored in the metasoma (referring to the thorax and abdomen of the bee).

These images show Hylaeus (Gnathoprosopis) euxanthus yellow bubbles. The nectar is yellow because of ingested pollen. It is one way of concluding that the bee is female, as the males create clear bubbles.
