Spotted PardaloteSpotted Pardalote – movement

One of the smallest of the Australian birds, the Spotted Pardalote (Pardalotus punctatus) range widely through the eucalypt woodlands and forests. An interesting bird, it is wonderful to sit and watch as they forage for insects, psyllids and sugary exudates from the leaves and psyllids. They can be seen perched on naked branches, giving them a viewing platform. If they spot their insect prey below, the Spotted Pardalote can drop like a stone.
