Parrots | Cockatiel > in flight | resting & roosting | water & waterholes

The Cockatiel (Nymphicus hollandicus) like many birds, are striking in flight. Seeing them flying through the air like a volley of arrows, the wild Cockatiels can reach speeds of 64 km per hour.

A small parrot endemic to Australia, the Cockatiel is the only member of the genus Nymphicus, it is the smallest of the family Cacatuidae (cockatoo family).

The Cockatiels are great to watch in flight when in flocks.
