The Bourke’s Parrot (Neopsephotus bourkii) are active feeding at dusk and dawn, foraging on the ground and in shrubs for seeds and grasses. They can often be seen perched in trees and shrubs, although are more frequently seen on the ground.

They tend to be seen in pairs or small groups, being quite rare to see them in larger flocks.

The following photographs are of the Bourkes Parrot at sunrise at Kunoth Bore in the Northern Territory.
