Alice Springs Street Art Festival

Alice Springs has a number of murals, sculptures and other street art if you know where to look, that have been created over the decades. Check out our listing on some of the street art in Alice Springs.

In 2018 the Alice Springs Street Art Festival was launched by the Northern Territory Government. It’s aim was to revitalise the Alice Springs Central Business District. This saw 7 murals painted by four interstate artists and ten local artists in the Mparntwe / Alice Springs town centre added to the collection of Alice Springs murals and street art.

For those wanting to contact the Alice Springs Street Art Festival they have a Facebook page connected with Red Hot Arts.

Revitalise Alice – Street Art Project with Red Hot Arts has launched in 2020 to do a series of artwork that will be applied to building facades around the Alice Springs CBD. These works will primarily be a combination of roller shutters and window wraps (ie sticker decals). The artwork themselves will include a connection to the Territory, represented through colour palette, unique flora and fauna, multicultural aspects of society, or the people of Central Australia.

For those wanting to explore the street artscape of Alice Springs, there is a Alice Springs Public Art Map available by the Alice Springs Town Council or drop into the Alice Springs Visitor Centre.
