There are a large number of web creation software available for those looking at creating a website. These vary from the simple style 'what you see is what you get' to the professional fully fledged packages. Whilst some software are free, you can expect to pay a nominal amount to many thousands of dollars, depending on your needs and wants.

Whilst the 'what you see is what you get' web creation programs do not necessarily require you to learn the coding, it is a good idea to get at least a rudimentary understanding of HTML (Hyper Text Markup Language). This can stand you in good stead when trying to trouble shoot why your page displays a certain way.

Of course if you only have a few pages, you do not necessarily need to learn CSS (Cascading Style Sheets). Things change when your site is made up of hundreds if not thousands of pages. Cascading Style Sheets is a style sheet language that describes how your page is presented. If implemented fully, it also provides an easy way to change the look of your website that consists of possibly thousands of pages with ease.

So how do I go about learning all this? You could enrol in a class or of course teach yourself through the many publications available, as well as the online tutorials. When you have a question, there are a number of forums where you can post your questions. Following are some resources that you may find of help.
